Microsoft has finally released its Security Essentials which is the replacement to the Live OneCare. The Security Essentials is an antivirus and anti-spyware that makes it extremely simple for people to protect their Windows-powered computers from malware threats.
It is said to be very lightweight on system resources, which means your computer will not slow down while the security software is actively running in the background. This is good news for power users who always have multiple programs running all at the same time.
An early review said that the only major downside is that if you download it you will be automatically submitting reports to SpyNet. Why is it a downside? I guess there are a lot of people who do not want to contribute to this cloud effort of collecting data for anti-malware definitions.
