I remember visiting a good friend of mine a couple of years back. She lived in a condo unit which is not really a big one (I’m not good in square meters) but it was perfect for a single person. On one of her wall, there was a sconce installed. I didn’t know what it was called back then so I inquired.
She said that whenever she wanted to feel just alone and relax, she turns off all the lights and turn on the sconce. She demonstrated it to me and I was amazed at how beautiful the light was emanating from it. It illuminated just a small portion of the wall, and therefore also a small portion of the room, but the effect was mesmerizing. It was indeed relaxing. She said she wanted to install another one for a slightly bigger effect.
Now that I remember that, I’m thinking of putting one in my living room.
