Don’t open your personal email in public computers, please.
I just relayed this reminder today to Anne, one of my former colleagues because she also became a victim of these bad guys who took advantage of getting all her contact lists two days ago.
She’s not a blogger, and I haven’t thought of asking her to read my earlier post here. I just told her that I was also a victim of a certain internet cafe in Ortigas, Pasig.
This spammer sent spam messages to my friends and yahoo groups list using my yahoo email account. He even changed my footer message with a spam one. Grrr! But it is a different story with her. She told me that she got problems in accessing some sites because this spammer apparently changed some of her passwords. She was so pissed because she can no longer log in as she can never answer even those clue cues to reset her passwords.
What a mess right? That’s another lesson learned. If you can just save up for a good PC, then this is the best time to do so. Today, we can no longer trust our accounts if we open it in a public computer. If you have the resources, please buy a lappie or even the bulky desktop will do. This will not only save you money in the long run, but will save your sanity as well.
Have you had this experience with spammers before?
