Well, that’s the opinion of most people who used to frequent that torrent download site. Because now Mininova is just accepting non-copyrighted videos, ebooks, music, etc. from its users. All the pirated stuff are all gone. Vanished. And that’s why there are a lot less of users right now.
I applaud this latest move from the people behind Mininova. It’s about time that we stop piracy. There’s nothing more hurtful than taking advantage of other people’s intellectual rights because it IS thievery.
Perhaps it’s just about time that people become more creative and start producing their own, original and quality stuff and share it to the world. Just think about the user-made and submitted YouTube videos. There are already a lot of these people who have had their 5-minute of fame because of their effort.
